Imagine living in a tree for one day. Now imagine staying up
there for 2 years!
This month we are celebrating the landmark 10th Year
Anniversary of Luna and the day Julia Butterfly Hill came down from
the iconic 1,000-year-old redwood tree in which she lived for 738 days to save
Humboldt Country’s old-growth forests from clearcutting.
The legacy of Luna
lives on via the Sanctuary Forest Luna
Preservation Endowment fund and via Julia’s new organization The Engage
Network, which is enabling citizens to discover their purpose and become leaders in
their community in many sectors including local food, green jobs, the environment and more. Join us for an exciting array of Luna Events this month including a film screening on February 23 with Julia Butterfly Hill and Joanna Macy at the Brower Center and a celebrity
yoga class on February 28. Learn more and RSVP at www.whatsyourtree.org/events
