AMAZON WATCH:
Founded in 1996 and based in San Francisco, the nonprofit Amazon Watch is
dedicated to preserving the Amazon rainforest and supporting the region's
indigenous peoples. They do incredible
courageous work in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia, and Brazil. We need the rainforests more than ever as the
trees purify water, generate rain clouds, absorb carbon, and help to stop
global warming.
