Do you Yahoo? Do you
Green? Yahoo is stepping up their eco
quotient big time with the launch of Yahoo! Green. What began as the CFL mecca 18Seconds.org
has blossomed into an impressive web of virtual green content at
green.yahoo.com.
You can see the Greenest Cities, visit EcoGeek, browse Green Autos, calculate your carbon impact, and even make a personalized plan. You can scroll through a menu of green ideas and pick the ones that sound most appetizing. They are added to your My Green Plan and voila. The planet is happier already. It's the best user interface and implementation of this concept I've seen yet.
Global Green and actor Matt Dillon were on hand for the New York launch of Yahoo's Be A Better
Planet program. There are currently 5,620 answers to Matt Dillon's question on Yahoo! Answers about ways to save energy, wow!
Matt Dillon is an eco-convert who spoke passionately about the cause: ''Part of reducing global warming pollution can be as simple as turning off the lights, changing to compact fluorescent light bulbs and walking or using public transportation. I urge everyone to take the pledge to make their city the greenest in the country.''
I just saw this great question from Nancy Pelosi
asking us what should be included in global warming legislation. There
are a meager 33,000 answers so far. I'll be right back, I feel answer No. 33,001 coming on...
