Green is the new black, and more desirable eco-fashion options
are arriving on the scene thankfully. Here are some of my favorites:
Linda Loudermilk luxury eco: Breathtaking sustainable fashion inspired by nature. Linda terms it an emergency survival plan for the planet fueled by eco-glamorous design: “a fabulous look and a slammin’ attitude that stops traffic.” When I wore a Loudermilk dress during New York Fashion Week, it literally did just that. People stopped me in the street and had to know where my dress came from. Thank you Linda for making eco gorgeous. Please see www.lindaloudermilk.com
Deborah Lindquist: Avant-garde couture-inspired creations using reincarnated, vintage, and Earth-friendly fabrics like organic cotton, organic wool and hemp. She dresses many celebrities and is famous for her sweaters and tasteful beautiful corsets. Please see www.deborahlindquist.com
Del Forte Denin: Jeans that are organic, comfy and sexy. A seemingly impossible feat accomplished by effusive owner Tierra Del Forte. These are the most comfortable jeans I own hands down! Now I need one of her adorable flirty denim skirts. Guys, there are cool eco jeans for you too coming soon. Please see www.delforte.com
The lay of the eco-clothing land was illuminated when I had
the opportunity to co-chair the Eco-Chic Fashion Show for United Nations World
Environment Day in
We insist on eating safe organic and sustainable food. Why wouldn’t we hold our clothing (which hugs our body) to the same eco standards eventually? A call to designers, boutiques and department stores --> Please hurry with more sexy eco-fashion. We are waiting!
If you are looking for inexpensive, eco-friendly fashion, consider buying secondhand and vintage clothing. It creates zero impact on the environment, plus you can often find amazing quality items at affordable prices.
I highly recomend NancysGoneGreen.com. Everything is sorted by size and designer, and quality is guaranteed.
